Fabric vs NeoForge vs Forge for Jade
Choose the right mod loader for Jade by matching the game version and the rest of your modpack—not by name alone.
The main rule
Choose the loader that your Minecraft instance and modpack already use. Jade is not a reason to switch loaders by itself. Your entire mod set, dependencies and launcher profile must agree on the same ecosystem.
Fabric and Quilt
Fabric is lightweight and common in performance-focused or modular packs. Some Jade Fabric releases are also compatible with Quilt. Always verify the release page rather than assuming all Fabric-targeted files are interchangeable.
NeoForge
NeoForge is a major modern loader target for Jade. If your pack is built around NeoForge, use the build explicitly marked NeoForge and match the exact Minecraft branch.
Forge
Jade has historical Forge support, but you should not assume every current Minecraft release has a Forge build. Check the official version list first. If no Forge build exists for your exact game version, do not use a NeoForge JAR as a substitute.
Use an official download source
When you are ready to download, use the official Jade project on Modrinth or CurseForge. Verify the exact Minecraft version, loader and dependency information shown on the release page.
