How to Install Jade Mod on NeoForge
A practical NeoForge installation path that avoids the most common version and loader mismatches.
Match the release first
NeoForge and Forge are not interchangeable labels. Choose a Jade file explicitly marked NeoForge and confirm the exact Minecraft branch it supports. This is especially important in modern releases where loader ecosystems diverge.
Install NeoForge
Install the NeoForge version required by your Minecraft instance, then launch that profile once. If you use a third-party launcher, check which game directory belongs to the instance before adding mods.
Add Jade
- Download the correct Jade NeoForge JAR from the official project page.
- Place it in the instance
modsfolder. - Remove any Fabric, Quilt or old Forge Jade JAR from the same folder.
- Keep only one build that matches the game version you intend to start.
Launch checks
If the game stops during startup, the first useful clue is usually the loader error message. Read the named mod, required version and missing dependency rather than randomly replacing multiple files.
